Golden Oldie

When I was watching Amber today, I could not help but think how she is looking older.  She is only 7, but it is sad when the ageing process starts.

Even though she is active and happy, we should consider the needs of our pets as they get older. For example:

Sight and hearing become less functional

Joints can become arthritic

Incontinence 

Coat can become dull and greasy

Exercise intolerance 

Lethargic

However, all of these are treatable in some shape and form, so, technically although our pets get older, just as we do, it does not mean that their life has to be dull and painful.

So, if you pet if getting older and starting to show signs of ageing, a visit to the vet will open up new avenues for your 'golden oldie' :)
